Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pipe Layer to join our growing field operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utility pipelines. You will work as part of a crew on active job sites, following blueprints, safety standards, and project specifications to deliver quality results on time. Key Responsibilities Excavate trenches and lay pipe for water, sewer, and stormwater systems Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and grade sheets Operate hand tools and small equipment (e.g., compactors, laser levels, pipe lasers) Join, cut, and fit pipe sections using appropriate methods and materials Install manholes, catch basins, and related structures Maintain proper grade, alignment, and slope throughout installation Backfill and compact trenches in accordance with project specifications Adhere to all safety regulations including OSHA trenching and excavation requirements Collaborate with crew members, foremen, and site supervisors Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Required Certifications & Qualifications OSHA 10 Construction Safety certification (OSHA 30 preferred) Valid driver's license required; must have dependable transportation to get to various jobsites Minimum 3 years of pipe laying or underground utilities experience Ability to safely operate excavation and compaction equipment Knowledge of local codes and municipal utility standards is an asset Must be able to show proof of age over 18, identity and right to work in the United States Must be able to pass a drug screen Working Conditions This is a physically demanding, outdoor role. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, confined spaces, and near heavy equipment. Must be able to lift and carry 50+ lbs or more repeatedly. Overtime may be required based on project schedules.
