Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pipe Layer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining water, sanitary, and storm pipelines across various projects. This role requires proficiency in heavy equipment operation, blueprint reading, and construction site experience to ensure precise and efficient pipe installation. The Pipe Layer will work closely with other construction professionals to deliver quality results while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Lay and install pipe using heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine pipe placement and layout. Operate specialized tools including pipe lasers for accurate alignment and installation. Utilize utility locating techniques to identify existing underground utilities before excavation. Conduct trenching, excavation, backfilling, and compaction activities in compliance with safety protocols. Coordinate with team members on site to ensure efficient workflow and project progression. Maintain the proper use of safety equipment and follow all OSHA regulations during operations. Assist with plumbing or pipeline connections as required for project completion. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site work, particularly in pipe installation or related fields. Skilled in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings. Ability to operate specialized tools like pipe lasers Knowledge of utility locating methods to prevent underground utility damage. Experience with pipe installation techniques. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites and heavy machinery use. Relevant certifications or licenses for heavy equipment operation are preferred but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise in pipeline installation and heavy machinery operation within a professional construction environment.
