We partner with businesses as well as job seekers to place individuals into positions efficiently. Currently, we are reviewing resumes for Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) Technicians in Norfolk, VA.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections to identify and assess risks. Monitor and ensure compliance with shipyard regulations. Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to prevent workplace accidents and injuries. Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and risks. Provide safety training to employees on topics such as proper equipment usage, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment. Monitor workplace conditions, such as air quality, noise levels, and chemical exposures, and ensure compliance with regulations. Develop and implement emergency response plans. Serve as a point of contact during emergency situations and liaise with emergency services, as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma (or equivalent) required. Must have shipyard experience. Must be willing to work 6 days each week with 10-12-hour shifts. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resistant to stress. Strong interpersonal, persuasive and communication skills. Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
