Work Environment:

Outdoor construction jobsite, including trenches and excavations. This position requires heavy manual labor supporting underground pipe installation . Employees must safely perform physical work using hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment while working around trenches, materials, and pipe. General Duties Assisting with laying, aligning, and securing pipe Raking, sweeping, shoveling, and trench work Pulling chains, hoses, and pumps Walking and standing throughout the shift (up to 9 hours) Using hand tools and power tools such as wrenches, impact guns, and jackhammers Climbing Climb ladders up to 12 feet , approximately 2 times per hour . Lifting and Carrying Up to 100 lbs lifted from floor to waist Up to 50 lbs lifted overhead Up to 50 lbs carried up to 25 feet Frequent lifting and handling of pipe, fittings, and materials up to 50 lbs Equipment Handling Push compactor up to 25 lbs , approximately 3 times per hour Pull chains, hoses, and pumps: Up to 25 lbs without wheels Up to 50 lbs with wheels Up to 2 times per hour Posture and Movement Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, and trench work Bent-over work from foot to waist level for 3-4 minutes , approximately 2 times per hour Hand and Grip Strength Frequent strong grip required for: Bolting pipe and pipe fittings Operating jackhammers Using impact guns and pipe wrenches Operating levers and hand tools throughout the shift Vision Must pass a vision screening , including: Near vision Distance vision Depth perception Physical Demand Classification Heavy Work - lifting up to 100 lbs and frequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs .
