Job Description

Thriving family owned excavation company in the heart of Southwest Washington is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Crew! Join a team with unmatched company culture where we invest in the growth of our people and our employee's development. We are currently seeking full-time Pipe Layers with potential for advancement and growth with the company. The Pipe Layer will perform tasks involving physical labor at underground projects. Clean and prepare sites, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris.
Responsibilities:
  • The individual must be consistently at work on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction, commit to reach goals and complete tasks on time or propose an alternative plan to the appropriate person.
  • Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Install sewer, water and storm drain pipes using pipe laying machinery and laser guidance equipment.
  • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations and compact and level earth to grade.
  • Control traffic passing near, in and around work zones.
  • Use pumps, compressors and generators to provide power for tools, machinery and equipment.
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, and 4 or more years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Heavy Civil and General Construction experience.
  • Experience with subcontractors and self-perform work.
  • Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skills.
  • Computer literacy, ability to learn to use various computer programs.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Ability to thrive and multi-task in fast paced, changing environment with a "can-do" attitude.
We operate Monday-Friday with some Saturday's. The ideal candidate should be available to work 40+ hours per week.
