Wage & Benefits Competitive wages via local union pay scales Full benefits through Local Union Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Opportunities for overtime and travel opportunities Local 669 Sprinkler Fitter Work Description As a Service Sprinkler Fitter, you'll inspect, maintain, and repair fire protection systems in both existing facilities and retrofit projects, ensuring systems remain fully operational and code compliant. Job Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair fire sprinkler systems Perform repairs to existing sprinkler systems, assessing impairments, and determining corrective actions Interpret and follow sprinkler system blueprints; recommend adjustments for site-specific needs Fit and fabricate pipes on-site when required Operate hand, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely and effectively Collaborate with crew members and foreman; occasionally work independently Train and mentor assigned apprentices Plan ahead for labor and materials to keep projects on schedule Maintain communication with superintendent and office staff Ensure compliance with fire codes, safety standards, and company policies Safely drive company vehicles (must meet driving record standards) Job Qualifications Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter license (Local 669) Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and driving record review Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and wear PPE Organized and able to work in fast-paced environments Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed Proficient in using phones, tablets, and other technology-based systems Commitment to safety and continuous learning Why Join Us?
