Position Summary The Plumbing Pipe-fitter / Pipe Welder is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in commercial and public buildings. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Install and repair piping systems in commercial settings Read and interpret blueprints and P&ID schematics Prepare and fit large bore weld pipe Perform pipe fitting for screw and weld applications Work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, and copper Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Qualifications Minimum of five years of experience in the piping field Strong understanding of pipe fitting techniques and take-offs Experience working with multiple piping materials and systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable with a strong work ethic Must have essential hand tools required for the trade Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug and background checks Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $18 - $26 per hour (based on experience and certifications) Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) with company match Health, dental, and vision insurance (with HSA contributions) Life, AD&D, and disability insurance options Paid Time Off (PTO) and holidays Employee Assistance Program Company vehicle with take-home privileges and gas card Skills and Abilities Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Safe and effective use of tools and equipment Customer-focused and professional communication Ability to work independently and in a team environment Adaptable and able to handle changing job site conditions Work Environment This is a field-based role that may include: Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Driving to job sites for extended periods Frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) Working with construction materials, equipment, and chemicals Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
