Safety Attendant / Hole Watch

Overview We are hiring Safety Attendants (Hole Watch) to support confined space entry crews performing underground copper cable removal. This role is critical to ensuring worker safety during all manhole and duct system operations. Key Responsibilities Monitor confined space entrants from surface level at all times Perform atmospheric gas monitoring using 4-gas detection equipment Maintain communication with crew members inside manholes Enforce safety protocols and confined space entry procedures Stand by for emergency response and assist with evacuation if needed Track entry logs and ensure compliance with safety requirements Requirements 1+ year construction, utility, or safety-related experience preferred Confined Space Entry certification preferred (training provided if needed) Strong attention to safety rules and compliance procedures Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods outdoors Valid driver s license preferred Nice to Have OSHA 10 certification Experience with utility or telecom field environments Gas monitoring or safety watch experience What We Provide All safety equipment and monitoring devices Full PPE including protective gear Paid training and certification if required Opportunity to advance into technician or supervisory roles
