This role is ideal for individuals who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a physically demanding environment. Experience in underground utilities or construction is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water main systems Support setup and teardown of tapping, line-stop, and valve insertion equipment Clean and maintain tools, trucks, and work areas Load and unload materials and equipment Follow instructions from senior technicians and job leads on site Participate in pre-job safety meetings and follow safety protocols Complete basic documentation such as safety checklists or field reports as directed Observe and learn proper procedures for tapping, stopping, and field repairs Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills Ability to follow oral and written directions Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Clear communication and respectful interaction with others Valid driver's license with clean driving record required Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Availability to travel and work overnight or on-call shifts as needed Commitment to safety, attendance, and professional development ________________________________________ Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or GED Experience in underground utility or construction strongly preferred Ability to obtain OSHA 10 and forklift certification within 90 days of hire ________________________________________ Mental/Physical Demands and Environmental Factors Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and kneeling Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs Must be able to climb ladders up to 30 feet Exposure to construction hazards, moving parts, and outdoor elements Work in confined spaces, trenches, and other field conditions Travel may be required on short notice All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
