Job Description

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others. Conduct continuous monitoring of pipeline system conditions and invoke operational changes within established guidelines to operate the pipeline system on a 24-hour shift rotation basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A
working knowledge of power or process plant technology at a level normally acquired through the completion of an Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered. Subject to pre-employment background check and drug testing. May be required to maintain a valid driver's license. May be subject to the Company's substance abuse testing program. Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shift schedule with overtime requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior shift work experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors and analyzes pipeline system conditions to formulate appropriate action plans, which shall maintain security of service at the highest efficiency level within established system operational constraints and dispatching procedures. Understands pipeline emergency procedures to effectively analyze and react to pipeline emergency situations; manages emergency response until emergency management personnel assemble. Responsible for coordinating after hour emergency line locates. Conducts configuration changes and operates pipeline control equipment as necessary to accommodate pipeline projects, supply disruptions, nomination changes and maintain required coordination with the Company's operating districts and departments, interconnecting pipeline companies, gas producers and local distribution companies. Monitors gas quality to ensure compliance within established limits. Assists in calculating transmission system capacity and review transportation requests to ensure maximization of throughput while maintaining system integrity. Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
