This role focuses on optimizing well performance, monitoring equipment reliability, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong upstream production experience with artificial lift systems, including gas lift, ESP, and plunger lift operations, along with the ability to troubleshoot well performance issues and communicate effectively across operations and maintenance teams. Main Functions Operate wells and production equipment in accordance with operating procedures and safety standards. Monitor equipment and well performance to identify optimization opportunities and reduce equipment failures. Coordinate corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance activities. Maintain accurate operational logs, reports, and shift handover documentation. Collect product samples and perform field laboratory testing. Support well intervention and wellwork activities. Participate in emergency response activities and incident reporting. Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and security requirements. Tasks and Responsibilities Implement daily work objectives while maintaining housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security standards. Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings. Conduct routine surveillance of wells and equipment to identify abnormal operating conditions. Perform basic maintenance activities as an Equipment Care Technician. Report alarm, emergency, and shutdown system deficiencies. Provide detailed shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations. Coordinate and monitor maintenance work activities. Maintain accurate logbook entries regarding operational events and equipment status. Collect samples for laboratory analysis and perform field tests. Participate in emergency response activities and incident investigations. Communicate operational issues and production concerns to supervisors. Diagnose well performance issues and provide supporting information before requesting well intervention. Verify wellheads and surface equipment are in safe operating condition prior to wellwork activities. Support ongoing well intervention operations as required. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of field operations experience preferred. Previous experience as a Field Technician or Field Operator. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong safety mindset with demonstrated commitment to safe work practices. Working knowledge of pipeline operations. Understanding of operations management systems and processes. Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures. Familiarity with applicable regulations and commercial agreements. Computer proficiency with field reporting and operational systems. Preferred Experience Pumper experience in upstream oil and gas operations. Hands-on experience with gas lift systems. Working knowledge of ESP and plunger lift operations. Experience troubleshooting well production issues and artificial lift systems. Familiarity with production optimization and well surveillance activities. Additional Requirements Must reside locally in the Midland area. Participation in a 30-minute in-person meet and greet interview is preferred. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
