Field Operator II - Compressor Operator RWDY Inc - 4.5 Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $44 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Compressor operation Oil & gas Industrial equipment troubleshooting Gas process control systems operation Production troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Title Field Operator II - Compressor Operator Compensation $44/hr Location 24617 FM 3095, Midland, TX 79706 (Midkiff Area) Schedule 7/7 or 10/4 Rotation Target Start Date ASAP Scope / Overview The Compressor Operator is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of natural gas compression facilities. This Level II position focuses on compressor station operations, equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, minor maintenance, and ensuring maximum equipment uptime while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Operations & Monitoring Operate and monitor natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and related equipment. Adjust operating parameters to maintain optimal pressure, flow rates, and efficiency. Conduct routine inspections and document equipment readings. Identify abnormal operating conditions and take corrective action as appropriate. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform minor maintenance on compressors, engines, and auxiliary equipment. Assist maintenance personnel during repairs and shutdown activities. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process-related issues. Recognize equipment deficiencies and escalate concerns when necessary. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work practices. Maintain safe operating conditions throughout the facility. Participate in safety meetings and hazard identification activities. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate operating logs and equipment records. Document maintenance activities and safety inspections. Report equipment malfunctions, operational deviations, and safety concerns. Utilize digital systems and reporting tools for operational data entry. Minimum Qualifications Experience 2-5 years of experience in: Gas compression operations Oil & gas production operations Industrial maintenance environments Technical Knowledge Experience with rotating equipment. Familiarity with instrumentation and process controls. Ability to troubleshoot compressor station equipment. Understanding of compressor operations and associated facility equipment. Preferred Certifications OSHA 10 or
OSHA 30 H2S
Awareness First Aid / CPR DOT Operator Qualification (OQ) Preferred Skills Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical schematics. Familiarity with HMI systems and control room operations. Strong communication and documentation skills. vDybVKrPp0
