Job Description
Overview The role of Pipeline Operator provides operational, technical, and mechanical support for facility equipment, focusing on inspections, production switching, and troubleshooting/maintenance of LACT units. Primary responsibilities include pigging operations and maintenance tasks related to equipment troubleshooting, testing, installation, and repair within the assigned area. Responsibilities Manage petroleum product movements in and out of pipeline pump stations, ensuring accurate assessment, quantification, and quality control of crude oil and/or refined products. Perform pigging operations and maintain associated documentation. Operate and maintain pickup and equipment used for pigging operations. Conduct routine inspections of pumps and valves to ensure proper operation. Perform monthly DOT tankage inspections and fire extinguisher checks, maintaining accurate records. Inspect perimeter fencing, locks, etc., to uphold facility, pipeline, and right-of-way security, reporting any issues. Ensure routine and DOT compliance maintenance on right-of-way, equipment, and valves. Maintain communication with the Pipeline Control Center. Witness meter proving, crude oil shipments, and run pipeline pigs as needed. Execute other pipeline-related tasks or projects as assigned by the Operations Supervisor. Troubleshoot and maintain LACT units when required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 3+ years of experience in maintaining and operating Refined Products Pipelines, Terminals, Pump Stations, or equivalent industry roles. Proficiency in pigging operations and documentation. Knowledge of troubleshooting and maintaining LACT Units. Operational Qualification Certification is required for the position. Must live within 60 miles of Tilden, Tx. Clean driving record, adherence to vehicle policies, and ability to maintain company vehicles. Availability for regular and emergency callouts. Ability to meet all conditional job offer requirements, including background check, drug/hair follicle test, MVR, agility, and fit for duty. Physical ability to exert force, lift objects, climb heights, balance on surfaces, and perform fine motor skills. Auditory attention and hearing sensitivity necessary for maintenance indicators. Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements per company Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.
