Plasterer Virginia Pines Montgomery, AL Job Details Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Fabrication Trim carpentry Remodeling Electrical experience Concrete forming Roofing Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster, stucco, and other finishing materials to interior and exterior surfaces, transforming raw structures into polished, durable finishes. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality craftsmanship on a variety of projects, from residential remodels to large commercial builds. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to excellence and innovation in construction. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster and stucco materials Mix and apply plaster, stucco, and related compounds using hand tools and power tools with precision and efficiency Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project specifications Install insulation, lath, wire mesh, and other substrates necessary for proper plaster application Perform finishing touches such as caulking, trim carpentry, and painting to achieve smooth, professional surfaces Operate heavy equipment and scaffolding safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas on construction sites Conduct inspections throughout the process to ensure quality standards are met and adhere to safety protocols Qualifications Proven experience in plastering, stucco application, masonry, or related trades within the construction industry Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, concrete forming, fabrication, carpentry, roofing, and restoration techniques Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hawks, mixers; power tools including drills and saws; and heavy equipment operation when necessary Knowledge of construction management principles including estimating and site inspection processes Ability to work effectively on construction sites with a strong understanding of safety procedures Skills in plumbing, electrical experience or other trades is a plus but not required Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members across various disciplines Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your skills to impactful projects.
