Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, stains, and coatings to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality finishes that meet project specifications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new constructions to restoration and remodeling efforts, utilizing your technical skills and eye for detail to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine surface areas, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific project requirements. Perform construction painting tasks on residential homes, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and during renovation or restoration projects. Execute specialized coatings including stucco, masonry finishes, industrial paints, and concrete finishing as required by project scope. Install fixtures such as trim carpentry and other surface accessories while ensuring precise fitment. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by adhering to protocols related to scaffolding, working at heights, handling hazardous materials like welding fumes or masonry dust. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, drywall installers, and other tradespeople to coordinate project timelines and quality standards. Keep detailed records of work performed and materials used; communicate progress regularly with supervisors. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial painting projects with construction site experience. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings; understanding of construction estimating is a plus. Strong knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects. Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns; familiar with power tools including sprayers and sanders. Ability to perform plastering, stucco application, masonry work, drywall finishing, and fixture installation when needed. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and calculating paint quantities; experience with renovation projects highly desirable. Knowledge of safety practices related to working at heights or with hazardous materials; willingness to follow OSHA standards.
