Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every job site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the painting industry. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial painting, restoration work, stucco application, plastering, caulking, and masonry finishes Execute renovation projects involving trim carpentry, fixture installation, drywall finishing, framing, and remodeling tasks Use construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for each job Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials according to safety standards Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment used in construction sites Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate finishes and color schemes for various projects Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately Experience with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing is highly desirable Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope and material quantities Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and project timelines Handyman experience or background in renovation projects is a plus Knowledge of industrial painting techniques and fixture installation is beneficial Ability to work safely at heights and on scaffolding while adhering to OSHA standards Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your skills to exciting projects.
