Job Description

Overview We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with both hand tools and power tools, and passionate about transforming spaces through expert painting techniques. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance the aesthetics and durability of buildings while developing your craftsmanship in a supportive environment. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or other equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications. Perform specialized painting tasks such as industrial coating applications, stucco work, plastering, and restoration projects. Use hand tools like caulking guns, putty knives, and trim carpentry tools for detailed finish work around fixtures and trim. Assist with construction estimating by assessing materials needed for painting projects and preparing cost estimates. Support renovation efforts by performing related tasks such as fixture installation, masonry repairs, or basic carpentry when needed. Maintain safety standards on-site by following proper procedures for working with scaffolding, power tools, welding equipment, and hazardous materials. Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial painting projects. Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools (including airless paint sprayers), scaffolding setup, and maintenance of equipment. Skills in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing are highly desirable. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately to ensure precise project execution. Strong attention to detail with an eye for color theory to achieve consistent finishes across surfaces. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects with a focus on safety protocols and teamwork.
