In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across residential, commercial, and renovation projects. As a key contributor, you will bring expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing work to ensure client satisfaction and project excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced painters to showcase their craft while working on diverse projects that challenge and develop their skills. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Execute painting tasks using hand tools and power tools, including airless paint spraying, to achieve smooth, professional finishes. Apply various coatings such as paint, stain, varnish, and specialty finishes on walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, masonry, and other surfaces. Perform detailed work involving caulking, trim carpentry, plastering, and restoration to enhance the durability and appearance of surfaces. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles. Conduct site assessments to determine project scope, estimate materials needed through construction estimating skills, and plan workflow efficiently. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks during remodeling, renovation, or construction site activities. Maintain a clean workspace by properly handling disposal of materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial painting, or construction painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns; familiarity with power tools including airless sprayers and grinders. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or schematics accurately. Skilled in surface preparation techniques like plastering, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, and drywall repair. Ability to interpret color theory for precise color matching and finishing touches. Experience with renovation projects involving fixture installation, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, or restoration work is a plus. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material quantities; familiarity with schematics is advantageous. Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites; experience with industrial painting or welding is beneficial but not required. Valid experience in maintenance tasks related to building upkeep or handyman work enhances versatility.
