Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Stucco Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying stucco finishes to building exteriors and interiors, contributing to the aesthetic appeal and durability of various structures. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse renovation, restoration, and new construction projects, utilizing a wide range of skills in masonry, carpentry, and finishing techniques. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure proper adhesion of stucco materials. Mix and apply stucco mixes using hand tools and power tools with precision and consistency. Install metal lath or wire mesh as a base for stucco application, ensuring secure attachment for long-lasting finishes. Apply multiple coats of stucco according to project specifications, including base coats, finish coats, and decorative textures. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project requirements and measurements. Perform related masonry tasks such as rebar installation, concrete forming, tile laying, and plastering as needed. Operate heavy equipment and scaffolding safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols on the construction site. Assist in other construction activities such as framing, roofing, caulking, trim carpentry, or metal stud framing when required. Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to ensure finishes meet industry standards and client expectations. Qualifications Proven experience in construction with specific expertise in stucco application and masonry work. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to building finishes. Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, mixers; power tools including drills and grinders; heavy equipment operation is a plus. Familiarity with concrete finishing, rebar installation, metal stud framing, tile laying, plastering, roofing, and restoration projects. Ability to interpret technical instructions related to schematics or construction estimating processes. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures and quality standards. Knowledge of renovation techniques and experience in working with various building materials like concrete, metal studs, plaster, and stucco finishes.
