Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Commercial Block Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing complex masonry tasks on commercial building projects, ensuring structural integrity, aesthetic quality, and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of large-scale masonry installations, including concrete block work, rebar placement, and restoration projects. Responsibilities Construct and install concrete blocks, bricks, and other masonry units with precision and attention to detail. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of project specifications. Prepare surfaces by applying plastering, stucco, or caulking as needed for finishing touches. Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently during construction activities. Install rebar reinforcement and perform metal stud framing to support structural elements. Execute concrete finishing tasks including pouring, smoothing, and sealing to achieve high-quality surfaces. Collaborate with team members on renovation, restoration, roofing, tile laying, and other related construction tasks to meet project deadlines. Requirements Proven experience in commercial masonry work with a focus on concrete block installation and related trades. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read detailed blueprints and schematics. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specialized masonry equipment. Familiarity with rebar installation, metal stud framing, tile laying, stucco application, and plastering techniques. Ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in complex construction environments. Prior experience in renovation or restoration projects is highly desirable.
