Painting Apprentice

Learn to operate hand tools and power tools safely for painting, sanding, and minor carpentry tasks. Support the application of paints using airless spray equipment, brushes, rollers, and other methods suitable for different surfaces. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications and color schemes. Participate in renovation and restoration projects by helping with drywall installation, trim carpentry, stucco work, and masonry repairs. Help with site cleanup, material organization, and maintaining safety standards on construction sites. Gain exposure to industrial painting techniques, fixture installation, and maintenance tasks across various environments. Basic knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation is a plus. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures used in construction painting. Experience or interest in residential or commercial painting projects is desirable. Strong attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination for precise work such as caulking and trim carpentry. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and working at heights if necessary. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface preparation and paint coverage. Prior experience in construction site environments or handyman work is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
