In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every job site. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications. Perform specialized painting tasks including commercial painting, industrial painting, restoration work, and stucco application. Execute renovation projects involving drywall installation, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, masonry work like brick or concrete finishing, and fixture installation. Use construction estimating skills to assess materials needed for each project accurately. Maintain safety standards on-site by properly handling tools like welding equipment and ensuring proper use of scaffolding or ladders. Assist with maintenance tasks such as masonry repairs or handyman duties as required on site. Skills Extensive experience with construction site work including construction painting and renovation projects. Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for precise project execution. Strong knowledge of color theory to select appropriate finishes for different environments. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and equipment such as airless sprayers and welding tools. Ability to perform plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work with precision. Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material planning and project budgeting. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface preparation and paint quantities. Experience with carpentry tasks including trim carpentry and framing work. Knowledge of industrial painting techniques suitable for large-scale or specialized environments. Hands-on experience in restoration projects involving renovation of older structures or damaged surfaces.
