In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic and protective qualities of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications and color schemes based on color theory principles. Perform residential painting tasks including wall coatings, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work. Execute commercial and industrial painting projects with attention to safety standards and quality control measures. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for efficient job completion. Conduct surface repairs such as masonry work (stucco), concrete finishing, framing, drywall installation, and remodeling tasks. Operate hand tools like scrapers, putty knives, caulking guns, and power tools including drills and welding equipment for various finishing tasks. Assist with renovation projects by performing carpentry (trim carpentry & framing), masonry, plastering, and maintenance duties on construction sites. Read schematics or blueprints to accurately execute painting plans while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Experience Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques. Hands-on experience with commercial and industrial painting projects involving different coatings and finishes. Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material planning and project management. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, welding equipment, and scaffolding setups safely. Strong understanding of blueprint reading along with schematics related to renovation or restoration projects. Background in construction site work including plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, framing carpentry, drywall installation or repair. Knowledge of renovation processes such as fixture installation or remodeling tasks is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise application of paints and coatings.
