Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across a variety of commercial projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, and industrial facilities. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise application of paint and coatings, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the construction industry. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, coatings, and finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific application instructions. Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, and restoration work to create smooth, even surfaces. Execute specialized painting techniques such as industrial painting, stucco application, masonry coating, and renovation finishes for various substrates. Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and perform basic carpentry tasks related to remodeling or renovation projects. Operate construction equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols on the construction site. Assist with estimating project costs related to materials and labor for construction estimating purposes. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly throughout the project lifecycle. Experience Proven experience in commercial painting with a strong background in construction site environments. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and airless paint spraying equipment. Familiarity with various surface preparation techniques including plastering, masonry work, stucco application, and concrete finishing. Experience in renovation projects involving framing carpentry, trim work, fixture installation, and restoration is preferred. Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately for precise project execution. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications.
