Masonry Worker Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled Masonry Worker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and related construction tasks, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, including new constructions, renovations, and restorations. A commitment to quality workmanship and safety on the job site is essential. Responsibilities Construct and repair structures made of brick, block, stone, and other materials. Perform concrete forming and finishing to ensure high-quality surfaces. Install rebar for structural integrity in concrete applications. Execute hardscape projects, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for masonry tasks. Engage in plastering, stucco application, and tile laying as needed. Assist with carpentry tasks such as frame carpentry and trim carpentry. Operate heavy equipment safely when required for site preparation or material movement. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high standards of quality. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Proven experience in masonry work with a solid understanding of construction principles. Familiarity with construction estimating techniques to assess project needs accurately. Experience in renovation projects that require a blend of masonry and carpentry skills. Previous work on construction sites is essential to ensure familiarity with safety protocols.
