Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Subcontractor Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across residential, commercial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure client satisfaction. As a subcontractor, you will operate independently, managing your workflow efficiently to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific surface requirements Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial painting, stucco application, plastering, restoration work, and masonry finishes Execute carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, fixture installation, and basic drywall repairs as needed for seamless finishes Use construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for each job Maintain safety standards on-site by properly handling tools like scaffolding, welding equipment (if applicable), and ensuring adherence to construction site protocols Qualifications Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects with a strong portfolio of completed work Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math calculations for project planning Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, caulking guns, and other relevant equipment Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and experience working on active construction sites Ability to perform plastering, stucco application, masonry finishing, concrete finishing or related renovation tasks is a plus Strong understanding of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic results Handyman experience or background in remodeling projects highly desirable Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments Join us to bring vibrant transformations to life!
