Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painting / Refinishing Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and refinishing techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help bring renovation visions to life, enhancing the beauty and durability of various surfaces. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment to achieve smooth, even coats. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications for residential and commercial painting jobs. Perform surface repairs including drywall patching, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing as needed for restoration or renovation projects. Install fixtures such as moldings, trim carpentry elements, or other decorative features to enhance interior or exterior aesthetics. Use construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and ensure timely completion within budget parameters. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols related to construction site experience, welding, scaffolding use, and handling hazardous materials. Requirements English not required Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of residential and commercial painting techniques. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and airless paint spraying systems. Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate finishes that match client specifications or design plans. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution. Familiarity with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and restoration processes. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety standards and protocols. Basic math skills for measurements and estimating project quantities effectively. Additional skills such as welding, fixture installation, remodeling experience, handyman skills, or industrial painting are advantageous but not mandatory.
