Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality finishes that meet project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from small remodels to large-scale construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and eye for detail to deliver outstanding results. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding to apply paints, stains, varnishes, and protective coatings accurately. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specific painting requirements. Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial coating applications, stucco finishing, masonry work, and restoration projects. Execute renovation projects involving drywall installation, trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, and plastering. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by following protocols related to scaffolding, welding (if applicable), and hazardous materials handling. Collaborate with team members such as carpenters and handyman professionals to ensure seamless project execution. Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project planning. Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects. Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques using hand tools and power tools including airless sprayers. Skilled in surface preparation methods such as sanding, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and masonry work. Familiarity with schematics related to industrial painting projects or restoration work. Ability to perform demolition or remodeling tasks involving framing carpentry or concrete finishing when needed. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; experience with schematics is a plus. Knowledge of safety practices related to construction site experience including scaffolding use and maintenance procedures.
