In this role, you will be responsible for installing durable fiber cement siding, performing high-quality painting, and executing various construction tasks to enhance the exterior of residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require a blend of craftsmanship, technical knowledge, and a proactive approach. Duties Install fiber cement siding panels accurately according to project specifications and schematics, ensuring secure attachment and proper alignment. Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking gaps, and applying primer or sealant as needed for optimal paint adhesion. Apply high-quality exterior paints using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to achieve smooth finishes that withstand weather conditions. Execute various construction tasks including framing, metal stud installation, masonry work, and concrete forming to support siding and exterior enhancements. Operate power tools such as drills, saws, nail guns, and scaffolding equipment safely and efficiently throughout each project phase. Read blueprints and schematics accurately to interpret project requirements and ensure precise execution of installation and finishing work. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety protocols on the construction site. Conduct restoration or remodeling work as needed to match existing structures or improve building integrity. Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks like plumbing, tile laying, welding, or carpentry for comprehensive exterior upgrades. Requirements Proven experience in construction with specific expertise in fiber cement siding installation and exterior painting. Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assess project scope and material needs effectively. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and safety equipment required for construction environments. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to exterior building projects. Experience with roofing systems, stucco application, metal stud framing, masonry work, and drywall finishing is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for long workdays on-site. Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing joints along with trim carpentry skills for detailed finishing touches. Hands-on experience in restoration projects or remodeling efforts that involve multiple trades like plumbing or welding is a plus.
