Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems for residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that all plumbing work meets safety standards, building codes, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced environment. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment to ensure efficient water flow and waste removal. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications. Perform welding tasks as needed for pipe connections and system repairs, adhering to safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems on construction sites or during field service calls to identify issues proactively. Collaborate with carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of building systems. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex plumbing problems and implement effective solutions swiftly. Lift heavy materials safely during installation or remodeling projects while maintaining proper ergonomics and safety standards. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on plumbing installation, maintenance, or remodeling projects. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with pipe threading, welding, and the use of various hand tools and power tools specific to plumbing tasks. Knowledge of HVAC systems, schematics interpretation, and general mechanical principles is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction plumbing codes, safety regulations, and best practices for heavy lifting and site safety. Prior field service experience involving troubleshooting or repairing plumbing systems in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience is a plus for travel between job sites.
