How you will do it Assists Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as necessary for projects as time allows. Problem-solving skills. Able to braze AND solder copper pipe ½" - 4". Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques. Able to work with PVC pipe Experience with power tools. Performs other assigned work as required. Must be able to read blueprints and follow SOP's.
Required:
Proven experience as an industrial plumber, with a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems. This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards. Safety policies must be always adhered to. Personal protective equipment (i.e., safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be always worn where required. It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely. Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred. Appropriate credentials and certifications. Ability to work shift work. Ability to work in small spaces. Ability to work independently in a busy environment. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Able to work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail. Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. Other duties as assigned.
