This role is ideal for individuals who have prior exposure to plumbing work and are looking to further develop their skills in a fast-paced field environment. You will assist with water meter installations, repiping activities, fixture replacements, and other plumbing-related tasks while gaining practical experience under the guidance of experienced plumbing professionals. Your contributions will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's mission of improving water management and conservation. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to follow direction, and a foundational understanding of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and job site practices. Key Outcomes (First Six Months) Effectively assist Foremen and Plumbers with daily plumbing activities and project requirements. Support interior and exterior plumbing modifications required for water meter installations. Demonstrate competency in the use of plumbing tools, materials, and equipment. Accurately complete assigned tasks while maintaining quality workmanship. Follow all safety standards, company policies, and job site procedures. Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas. Assist in preparing materials, equipment, and work sites for daily operations. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and challenges. Increase technical knowledge of plumbing systems, water distribution systems, and installation methods. Contribute to meeting project schedules and productivity goals. Responsibilities Assist Foremen and Plumbers with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance work. Support water meter installation and replacement projects in multifamily communities and commercial properties. Measure, cut, assemble, and install plumbing materials under supervision. Prepare and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites. Assist with troubleshooting basic plumbing issues and identifying potential concerns. Perform demolition, excavation, and site preparation work as needed. Maintain accurate records of materials used and completed work when required. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, tools, and job sites. Perform other duties assigned by supervisors to support project completion. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 6 months to 2 years of plumbing, construction, maintenance, or related field experience. Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, fittings, piping materials, and hand tools. Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and project plans. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces. Strong reliability, attendance, and work ethic. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Experience assisting licensed plumbers, foremen, or plumbing crews. Familiarity with copper, PEX, PVC, and galvanized piping systems. Experience working on multifamily, residential, or commercial plumbing projects. OSHA 10 certification or other safety training. Desire to pursue long-term growth within the plumbing trade.
