Role:
As a Plumbing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will directly impact the safety, functionality, and efficiency of water supply and waste disposal systems, contributing to the overall well-being of the communities served. This position requires a thorough understanding of plumbing codes, blueprints, and technical specifications to deliver high-quality workmanship. You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and team members to diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and complete projects on time and within budget. Ultimately, your work will uphold industry standards and promote sustainable plumbing practices that meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship or vocational training program. Proven experience working as a plumbing technician or in a related role. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and plumbing codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications such as backflow prevention, gas fitting, or medical gas piping. Experience with advanced plumbing technologies including water conservation systems and smart plumbing devices. Strong customer service skills and experience working in a client-facing role. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances according to local codes and regulations. Diagnose plumbing issues using specialized tools and equipment, and provide effective solutions to prevent future problems. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing layouts and installations. Collaborate with clients and contractors to assess needs, ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure plumbing systems operate efficiently and safely. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job. Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices to minimize risks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

The required skills enable the Plumbing Technician to accurately diagnose and resolve plumbing issues, ensuring systems function safely and efficiently. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents allows for precise installation and repair work aligned with regulatory standards.
