This position is ideal for someone with plumbing experience who is knowledgeable in epoxy pipe lining, trenchless repair methods, drain systems, and field operations. As a Lining Technician, you will be responsible for installing epoxy liners using various lining applications, maintaining tools and materials, assisting with diagnostics, and supporting the growth and training of plumbing technicians learning lining procedures. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality workmanship. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Install epoxy pipe liners using various pipe lining applications and approved procedures. Inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems, drains, sewer lines, pipes, fixtures, valves, and related components. Operate sewer cameras, hydro jetters, lining equipment, and other tools specific to trenchless pipe repair. Use hand and power tools to cut, bend, thread, fit, and connect piping as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and job specifications to plan plumbing and lining work. Test plumbing systems to ensure proper operation, identify leaks, and confirm completed repairs. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, equipment used, and job-related notes. Order, track, and maintain lining supplies, tools, materials, and equipment. Mentor, coach, and assist plumbing technicians learning lining responsibilities and procedures. Communicate professionally with customers regarding project timelines, job progress, and potential issues. Collaborate with other trades, including electricians, HVAC technicians, contractors, and project managers when needed. Follow all company safety procedures, building codes, plumbing codes, and applicable regulations. Keep work areas, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe. Stay up to date with industry developments, new lining technologies, and best practices. Respond promptly to emergency plumbing issues, including burst pipes, sewer backups, leaks, and gas-related concerns. Perform additional duties as assigned to support field operations and job completion. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Plumbing certificate, trade school training, or apprenticeship experience preferred. Minimum of 1 year of plumbing lining experience preferred. Experience with epoxy lining, sewer camera inspections, hydro jetting, drain cleaning, or trenchless pipe repair strongly preferred. Strong understanding of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and safety practices. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in the field. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented. Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various jobsite conditions. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record, as driving a company vehicle may be required.
