Apprentice Plumber/HVAC

Overview Join our team as an Apprentice for our plumbing and HVAC company. This paid apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a local service company built around reliability, quality workmanship, and customer-first service. Our work includes plumbing, HVAC, water heaters, mini split systems, heating systems, repairs, replacements, maintenance and installation projects throughout the Durango area. You will be working alongside our Lead Technician. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop technical skills, learn industry best practices, and build a solid foundation for a rewarding career in the plumbing and HVAC trades. No prior experience is required—just a strong work ethic and a desire to learn! Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and HVAC systems on construction sites. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment safely and effectively under supervision. Read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to understand project requirements. Support team members in cutting, fitting, and assembling pipes, ducts, and mechanical components. Help with site cleanup, material handling, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Participate in remodeling projects and routine maintenance tasks to develop versatile skills. Learn to troubleshoot issues using basic math skills and mechanical knowledge to support field service activities. Qualifications Ability to be reliable and punctual. Basic understanding of construction practices and familiarity with construction site environments. Willingness to learn plumbing techniques such as pipe threading, assembly, and schematic reading. Interest or experience in HVAC systems, welding, carpentry or handyman work is a plus. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments safely. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installation tasks.
