Plumber Mechanic

This Plumber Mechanic Position Features:

$83,200 - $114,400 annually ($40/hr - $55/hr DOE)

Various Connecticut Jobsites Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut P-1 or P-2 Plumbing License required
• Commercial plumbing construction experience required
• Knowledge of CT plumbing and building codes
• Experience working with copper, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and PVC piping systems
• Experience with underground and above-ground water, gas, sanitary, and storm piping systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and coordinated drawings
• Experience installing plumbing fixtures, water heaters, supports, and hangers
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, threading machines, and jobsite equipment
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 preferred
• Scissor lift and boom lift certification preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid Connecticut Driver's License required
• Must be fluent in English, including speaking, reading, and writing
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and replace commercial plumbing systems
• Install copper, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and PVC piping systems
• Install underground and above-ground gas, water, storm, and sanitary piping
• Install sinks, toilets, tubs, plumbing fixtures, and water heaters
• Locate and mark positions for wall/floor penetrations and piping connections
• Install pipe supports, hangers, and related equipment
• Test plumbing systems and fixtures for leaks and functionality
• Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and coordinated drawings
• Ensure all work complies with applicable CT plumbing and building codes
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
• Operate safely within commercial construction jobsites
• Work collaboratively with Foremen, mechanics, and project teams
