Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Plumber / Utility Installer for a unique wastewater infrastructure project located in Dry Tortugas National Park, approximately 70 miles west of Key West, Florida. This is a remote island project supporting upgrades to critical wastewater and lift station infrastructure within a National Park environment. This is a project based position with rotational scheduling. Transportation to and from the island, lodging, and meals/per diem will be provided. Responsibilities Install, repair, and modify sanitary sewer and wastewater piping systems Assist with lift station installation and replacement activities Install PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, and related underground utilities Support wastewater treatment equipment installation Read and interpret plans, specifications, and submittals Coordinate with superintendents and project management to maintain schedule Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with project requirements Assist with startup, testing, and troubleshooting activities as needed Work effectively in a remote island environment with rotating crews Qualifications 3+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing/utility installation experience preferred Experience with wastewater, lift stations, or treatment facilities highly preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license required OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred Ability to pass background screening if required for federal projects Must be comfortable working in remote conditions and rotational schedules What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Travel accommodations provided Lodging and meals/per diem provided during deployment Unique opportunity to work inside a National Park Rotation schedule allowing time off between deployments Opportunity for future project assignments
