Reports To:
Field Supervisor / Operations Manager The Service Plumber (hereinafter, "Plumber") provides plumbing and drain services to customers appointed by the Operations Team and or their appointed Field Supervisor within the new or existing customer base of KMI Services. A Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of plumbing jobs within but not limited to the Operations Team customer base. A Service Plumber position requires an individual to be decisive, tactful, dependable and one who possesses the ability to communicate well with customers of all demographic groups. A Technician must be able to accurately diagnose and efficiently accomplish repairs to the mutual benefit of the customer and KMI Services (hereinafter, "KMI"). Daily job stress will range from minimal to extreme based on factors such as, weather, site condition, time constraints, travel requirements, job complexity, and customer's needs.Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Performing routine plumbing and drain service activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
- Provide drain cleaning services including sewer jetting, drain auger, drain camera.
- Provide professional high quality piping services in PVC, copper, PEX, cast iron, etc.
- Provide troubleshooting services and be fluent in electronic plumbing equipment such as flush valves, pumps, water heaters, etc.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to work under time constraints, non-standard schedule, weather, and customers' needs.
- Ability to conducting non-service work in support of the project team as assigned.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Field Supervisor or Operations Team.
- Travel and or overnight stays may be asked by the Field Supervisor or Operations Team.
- The KMI Services team participates in a weekly on call rotation.
- Basic smart device knowledge, use of tablet and or smart phone daily.
- Safe driving activities at all times.
Education and experience:
- High school graduate
- Graduate of post-secondary/apprentice program Job safety, skills and abilities: o Physically able to: Perform all duties noted above under weather conditions. o Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently. Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Climb and balance on ladders.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Must not have fear of heights
- Possess good vision (naturally or with correction)
- Ability to decipher times when certain safety equipment needs to be utilized (Safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, etc.
