This position requires the ability to interpret engineered drawings , install and commission mid to large-scale plumbing infrastructure. The ideal candidate is proficient in both construction and systems commissioning , demonstrating precision, technical acumen, and leadership in fast-paced project environments. Core ResponsibilitiesSystem Installation & Layout Read, interpret, and execute detailed MEP and civil drawings , isometric schematics , and as-built plans to determine routing, elevations, and connection points. Perform layout, excavation, and installation of: Domestic cold & hot water distribution (copper, CPVC, PEX, Type L, etc.) Sanitary, waste, vent, and stormwater systems (PVC, cast iron, no-hub, hub-and-spigot) Code & Quality Compliance Perform installations in accordance with the Florida Building Code (FBC) , Florida Plumbing Code , NFPA standards , and applicable municipal ordinances. Conduct hydrostatic and air pressure testing , backflow testing, and system purging per specification. Maintain full compliance with

OSHA 29 CFR 1926

Subpart P (Excavations) and company safety protocols. Coordination & Documentation Interface daily with GC superintendents, inspectors, and MEP coordinators to align work sequencing. Train and mentor apprentices and helpers in advanced trade techniques, code requirements, and site safety. QualificationsRequired Minimum 5 years' verifiable experience in commercial or industrial construction plumbing Expert understanding of the Florida Plumbing Code , FBC , NFPA 13/14/54 , and ASME standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and P&ID schematics Strong working knowledge of: ProPress, copper brazing, solvent welding, and threading Underground and overhead installations Pump and control systems, expansion tanks, and PRVs Valid driver's license and clean record Physical & Environmental Requirements Lift and carry up to 100 lbs frequently. Work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and outdoor environments in all weather conditions. Prolonged standing, kneeling, bending, and manual dexterity required for precision installations.
