  • Job Description:
    We are seeking a Plumber to support rough‑in plumbing work on new construction projects around the Des Moines metro area. This position works directly with licensed plumbers to install piping systems, prepare materials, and maintain a safe, efficient jobsite.
  • Responsibilities Assist with the layout and installation of water, drain, and vent piping during the rough‑in phase.
Cut, measure, and prepare PVC, copper, and PEX pipe and fittings. Support plumbers with setting tubs, shower valves, and other plumbing fixtures. Safely operate basic hand tools and power tools. Handle materials, stage supplies, and help keep the jobsite clean and organized. Follow all safety procedures and site‑specific requirements.
  • Essential Skills Ability to read simple blueprints and understand basic plumbing layouts. Experience installing pipe supports, brackets, and hangers. Knowledge of common plumbing materials such as PVC, ABS, copper, PEX, and cast iron. Proficiency with saws, drills, torches, pipe cutters, crimping tools, and levels. Ability to organize and stage tubs, valves, fittings, and assemblies for plumbers.
  • Additional Qualifications 2+ years of plumbing experience preferred. Experience in commercial construction, rough carpentry, or general labor is a plus. Strong ability to use hand tools and power tools. Valid Drivers License and own transportation
  • Work Environment Active construction site with multiple trades working at the same time.
Indoor and outdoor work depending on project phase. Physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and working in tight or unfinished spaces. Fast‑paced, production‑driven environment with daily rough‑in goals. Required PPE includes hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and boots. Team‑oriented environment working closely with licensed plumbers and foremen.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00
  • $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
