6 E7 Position Summary The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications for Plumber. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Occasional overtime or irregular hours required to meet business needs. Travel within University and occasional travel to offsite University locations using a University vehicle is required. Occasional regional travel required. Duties/Responsibilities Perform plumbing tasks related to maintenance, repairs, rehabilitation, and construction projects for buildings, equipment, and systems. Plumbing duties include but are not limited to:- Assemble and install valves and fittings.
- Install, repair, and maintain sinks, tubs, and toilets.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim.
- Install, repair, and maintain water heaters and water conditioners.
- Install, repair, and maintain underground storm, sanitary, and other water piping systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain water treatment equipment, piping, and controls.
- Test piping systems and fixtures for leaks.
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements for the appropriate codes.
- Assist with water fountains and swimming pool maintenance (will require additional off campus education and certification).
