Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to join our team. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for maintaining and building plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency in various plumbing techniques.Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with local codes and regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of plumbing systems during new builds or remodeling projects
- Perform pipe threading, cutting, and soldering as needed
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues, providing effective solutions
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems or areas for improvement
- Collaborate with clients to understand their plumbing needs and provide recommendations for system upgrades or repairs
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related field
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Strong knowledge of pipe threading, cutting, and soldering techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required
- Excellent mechanical knowledge and understanding of plumbing systems
- Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools used in the plumbing trade
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
