Duties Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites. Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and equipment needed for plumbing tasks. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications. Support pipe threading, fitting, and assembly processes under supervision. Help with remodeling and renovation projects by performing basic carpentry and handyman tasks as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Skills Basic knowledge of construction practices and plumbing systems. Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and pipe threading techniques. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Understanding of HVAC systems and general construction site safety procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn technical tasks quickly. Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work well within a team. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and understanding project specifications.
