Job Description

Plumber Sentri Homes Flint, MI Job Details Contract $750 a day 1 day ago Qualifications Plumbing License Appliance installation Residential construction New plumbing fixture installation Water systems Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a licensed Plumber for a one-time job: installing new water supply and drain lines to support a stackable washer/dryer on an upper floor of a residential home. The space currently has no plumbing, so this job involves tying into the existing supply and drain stacks, running new lines to the second-floor location, and ensuring the installation meets local plumbing code. This is a single project, not an ongoing position. Duties Assess existing plumbing stack locations and determine the most direct path to run new supply and drain lines to the second-floor laundry area. Install new hot and cold water supply lines with appropriate shutoff valves. Install a drain line with proper slope, trap, and vent tie-in to the existing system. Install a standpipe for washer drainage, and a drain pan with separate drain line if required by local code for upper-floor laundry installations. Install a water hammer arrestor to prevent pipe knock from the washer's solenoid valves. Pressure test and check all connections for leaks before closing up any opened walls/floors. Pull any required permit and arrange for inspection if applicable in this jurisdiction. Communicate clearly on cost, timeline, and any complications (e.g., venting access, stack distance) before proceeding with extra work. Experience Licensed plumber with residential experience, specifically running new fixture lines in finished/occupied homes. Experience tying into existing stacks and venting systems for relocated or new fixtures. Knowledge of local code requirements for upper-floor laundry (drain pans, leak detection, venting). Comfortable working through finished walls/floors with minimal disruption. Strong communication skills for a one-time homeowner project — clear quote, clear scope, clear completion.
