We're bringing plumbing in-house to deliver faster response times, higher quality work, and better cost control across our portfolio. The Role We're hiring a licensed Master Plumber to lead a three-person in-house plumbing crew serving our Lansing and Kalamazoo properties. You'll own the plumbing function end-to-end: scoping jobs, directing two plumbers, pulling permits, and executing repairs and replacements across our portfolio. Diagnose plumbing issues across a range of building types and ages, and recommend repair-versus-replace decisions. Pull permits and ensure all work meets Michigan plumbing code. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job. Coordinate with property managers and maintenance technicians to minimize resident disruption. Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment, and flag purchasing needs. What You Bring Active State of Michigan Master Plumber license. Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Strong working knowledge of residential and light commercial plumbing systems, including water heaters, hydronic heating components, sewer and water service lines, and sump/drain tile systems. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in crawlspaces and mechanical rooms, and respond to occasional after-hours emergencies. Multifamily or property management experience is a plus but not required.
