Job Description

Overview McDonnell Plumbing & Heating is seeking a motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a long‑term career in the plumbing trade while learning directly from experienced Journeyman and Master Plumber. You'll work on residential and commercial projects, gaining hands‑on experience in installation, service, and repair work. Key Duties & Responsibilities Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of water, waste, and gas piping systems Help set and connect plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, water heaters, softeners, etc.) Measure, cut, and assemble piping under supervision Support service calls by preparing tools, materials, and work areas Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with diagnostic tasks Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site Follow instructions from supervising plumbers and learn applicable plumbing codes Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and willingness to learn Experience & Qualifications Entry level to two years of experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (crawl spaces, basements, outdoors) Strong work ethic and positive attitude Willingness to enroll in or continue a plumbing apprenticeship program Ability to follow safety procedures and company standards Good communication and teamwork skills Why Join Us Hands‑on training from licensed plumbers Opportunities for advancement toward Journeyman licensure Family‑owned company with a supportive team environment
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
