Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction practices, and mechanical systems. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing infrastructure across various commercial and residential projects. The Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber will work on-site, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Candidates should have a strong background in construction plumbing, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and building codes Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute projects accurately Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete installations Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely on construction sites or remodeling projects Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of plumbing systems in commercial or residential settings Assist with remodeling projects by integrating plumbing components with carpentry and HVAC systems Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently Requirements Valid Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber license or equivalent certification Proven experience in construction plumbing, site work, or field service environments Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, pipe threading, welding, and maintenance procedures Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and perform basic math calculations for measurements and layouts Experience with construction site safety protocols and heavy lifting techniques Knowledge of carpentry, remodeling, assembly work, and maintenance person skills is a plus Valid driver's license for commercial driving or site access as needed Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements This position offers an opportunity for qualified professionals to apply their expertise in a dynamic environment while contributing to high-quality construction projects.
