We are seeking an experienced, high-integrity Master Plumber & Licensed Drain Layer to serve as a pivotal team leader, technical authority, and mentor within our field operations. This role demands a highly versatile professional. You will act as our primary license holder to pull permits across multiple local counties, while remaining fully active, engaged, and willing to perform hands-on plumbing installations and field repairs yourself alongside your crew. $150,000 / year (Total package: Base Salary + Performance Incentives + Full Benefits) Schedule:
Day shift, Monday to Friday (Occasional flexibility required based on commercial project schedules) Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Permitting & Compliance:
Utilize your Master Plumber and Drain Layer licenses to legally pull municipal permits and coordinate inspections across St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, and Jefferson County. Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide direct leadership, technical training, and skill development to a team of fellow Journeymen Plumbers and apprentices. Foster a collaborative, professional, and efficient team dynamic. Hands-On Plumbing Work:
Maintain an active, versatile presence in the field. Execute complex plumbing installations, blueprint-guided rough-ins, finish work, and advanced diagnostic repairs yourself on both residential and commercial job sites. Sewer & Drain Laying:
Oversee and perform exterior underground drain laying, sewer line replacements, main lateral installations, and open-trench utility work matching strict local jurisdiction codes. Code Enforcement:
Ensure all work performed by the crew satisfies current local plumbing codes, safety standards, and engineering specifications. Customer Service & Teamwork:
Maintain exceptional customer service and interaction skills. Communicate technical diagnostics and project scopes clearly to residential homeowners, general contractors, and commercial property managers. Qualifications & Requirements:
Licensing (Mandatory): Active, unblemished Master Plumber License and Licensed Drain Layer status with the capability to immediately register and pull permits across St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, and Jefferson County. Experience:
Extensive field experience spanning both residential and commercial construction, service, and underground utility plumbing. Proven leadership or foreman experience over journeyman-level crews. Safety & Compliance:
Deep knowledge of plumbing safety protocols. OSHA Certification (10-hour or 30-hour) is highly preferred. Screening & Background:
Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check; a clean record is required. Physical Demands:
Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, perform strenuous manual labor, and work comfortably in varied environments (confined spaces, trenches, crawl spaces, outdoor weather). Driving Record:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
