Residential Plumber Premier Electrical Staffing Leland, NC Job Details Temporary | Full-time $24.76 - $29.82 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Tools provided Qualifications Construction plumbing Sanitary sewers Driver's License Water systems Fixture installation Gas piping systems Hand tools Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced and skilled Residential New Construction Plumber to join our growing construction team in the Leland, NC area. You will be responsible for the rough-in and finish plumbing phases for custom homes and residential developments, with a heavy emphasis on natural gas and liquid propane (LP) piping.
Key Responsibilities System Installation:
Execute rough-in and finish plumbing for new homes, including water supply lines, DWV (Drain, Waste, and Vent) systems, and fixtures.
Gas Piping:
Safely size, layout, thread, bend, and install natural gas and LP piping for residential appliances, including water heaters, furnaces, ranges, and fireplaces.
Blueprint Reading:
Interpret architectural blueprints, schematics, and builder specifications to map out exact plumbing and gas line layouts.
Testing & Safety:
Conduct pressure tests on gas and water systems to detect leaks, ensuring zero-defect passing of all local inspections.
Code Compliance:
Ensure all installations strictly adhere to North Carolina State Plumbing and Fuel Gas Codes.
Team Coordination:
Work alongside general contractors, project managers, and other trades to meet project timelines.
Site Management:
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site, managing material inventory and equipment properly.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in residential new construction plumbing.
Gas Expertise:
Demonstrated, verifiable experience running residential gas piping (black iron, CSST, or copper).
Licensing:
NC Plumbing Journeyman or Master Plumber license strongly preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of DWV systems, water distribution, and gas sizing requirements.
Tools:
Must have own standard set of plumbing hand tools. Large machinery and specialty tools are provided.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check/drug screening.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces (crawl spaces/attics), and work comfortably on ladders and lifts
Pay:
$24.76 - $29.82 per hour
