Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Master Plumber/Steamfitter for the Master Plumber/Steamfitter. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides trade, technical, and code compliance leadership in all aspects of plumbing, pipefitting, and mechanical duties required for University facilities and utilities. Provides compliance plans for proposed work. Leads and oversees the work of lower-level maintenance mechanics through the successful completion of projects. Certifications/Licenses A valid driver's license with two years driving experience is necessary. Will be required to successfully complete the Rutgers Defensive Driving Course. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Good communication skills, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and the ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and blueprints. Must have training in estimating and planning plumbing and steamfitting work. Also requires experience cutting, brazing and welding metals and pipes.
